*Fluffy*
Born to a feral mama in April 2023, Fluffyâs cat mama did a fantastic job of caring for her and her 3 siblings, living a relatively care-free outside life in Red Bluff for a little over a year. February 2024 finds Fluffy learning that the feral outside life is NOT ideal for catsâŠafter an illness living outside in the cold and wet winter, Fluffy started to show signs of having an URI. This URI has permanently affected Fluffyâs lungs â she snuffles and has moments of struggling to breathe. Not only that, her fosterâs vet reports that she is almost 100% blind and upon adoption will be referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist to fully assess her ocular changes. Fluffy will need to be strictly inside only and THE only cat in a household where she has one human to care for her and keep her in kisses and safely tucked inside. Since she is a special needs girl, Fluffy cannot join us at the cafĂ© â we do not want to risk her becoming stressed due to the amount of traffic we have here in the lounge and potentially subjecting her to germs that she may not be able to ward off. Fluffy is the first cat to be part of our Purrivate Pawtners Program where certain cats who canât come to our cafĂ© for a specific reason can be allowed to stay in their foster homes offsite until adopted. We will still showcase her and cats like her on our website and Facebook page but they wonât be physically present here. *If you are interested in a meet and greet with Miss Fluffy, please let us know so that we may arrange a private appointment with her foster, as she is located in our offsite foster space*
Loki
Some cats zoom, others boing…then thereâs kittens like Loki, who have specialized in the art of the low-key rumble purr. Not the loud growl of the Mustang or the obnoxious and overly anxious youngster trying to get your attention. This 5-month-old chooses another approach: he prefers a soft purr so unassuming that humans have to touch him to be heard. Pretty clever, Loki! He wants his humans CLOSE where he can savor them and show off his shiny and sleek black fur, slick like a pantherâs. Being held and petted by humans is his paws-down favorite thing, next to nibbling on treats and tossing up the occasional mouse who deserves to be rabbit-kicked. Will you become his next chosen human?
Banter
Born on July 15 of this year under a camiella bush at one of our rescue partnerâs foster homes, Banter (along with her 2 siblings Ollie and Ember (who was recently adopted!), had a rough start in life. Mama kitty moved the kittens after 2 days old, only to return them 2 weeks later. Unfortunately, her kittens were alone and their hiding spot was showered in Wet & Forget Mildew Remover! Immediate action was taken – the kittens were bathed, dried and returned to mom. BUT then mama didnât come back, so being as it was a hot day, they were brought inside and their journey to their forever home began. Banter was named for his constant need to âbanterâ back and forth with his foster mom. He is one sweet boy! With his soulful eyes he lieks to watch the chaos unfold a bit before jumping into the action. While playing and running are his favorite things, he does love to snuggle. SPRING TOYS are his favorite – he carries them in his mouth and growls at passerbys LOL

Smoky
Stunning Smoky had a rough and tumble llfe living behind the old Safeway building in Chico with his 2 pals until our rescue partner was alerted to the small colony and took immediate action to find foster homes for these little dolls. Smoky is approximately 4 months old and has the most stunning steel blue gray face that seems to hold a story wiser than his age. .After some TLC and being acclimated to his safe space, he and his buddies have blossomed into quite the quiet and sweet bunch of kittens. Smoky, with his blue and gray compact body and searing green eyes, has been a lurker and sleeper here in the lounge – he is happy to sleep the day away and recharge his batteries after loping back from the food bowl.. He says heâd love a home where he can further rest and relax from life on the streets and maybe seek refuge in a hidey hole near a window. Will you be the one he confides in and opens his heart to?Â
Rider
Rider and Ghost were rescued hanging around the Harley Davidson store on Mangrove Avenue in Chico! Do they have a penchant for Harleys or do they just enjoy people-watching? Maybe they show up for the driverâs classes LOL (Watch OUT – they may be learning a thing or two)! While they are slightly apprehensive at the moment, something tells us this is only a phase and once they get comfortable they will be entertaining us with their exploits. Rider is a sweet 8-month-old black boy and Ghost is about the same age and comes sporting a mostly white body with patches of gray tabby. They are BFFs (Best Feline Friends) so they say they have to be adopted together so they can luxuriate, talk amongst themselves in a language only known to fellow motorcycle enthusiasts and, of course, do cat things like groom (and annoy) each other, chatter at birds and show off in front of the girls.

Everett
Everett came to us a few days ago by way of our rescue partner. A sweet local family has been struggling with some medical setbacks and asked for help rehoming their precious babies. He and Ivy are buddies and must be adopted together. Nearly 5-year-old Everett is a big and beautiful white and brown tabby boy with the most mesmerizing eyes. He is a shy but curious guy who loves to peek around corners and observe you prior to slinking away, which basically means he and his come-hither eyes lure you into his hidey hole where you are compelled to stroke his gorgeous mink-soft fur and scratch him in his favorite itchy places. Will you be bewitched by Everett’s eyes enough to claim his as yours?
Sunny Boy
Sunny Boy was found wandering around the sunny grounds of Chico State and just high stepping it like he owned the place LOL Currently he is nestled under a warm blankie where he feels safe and secure in his new environment BUT he thoroughly enjoys soft pets and snuggles, too! This pint-sized, 4.5-month-old ginger says he needs a few more days to himself before he really starts to strut his stuff again. Weâre pretty sure that once he realizes his gingerly potential, he will have TONS of adoring fans fighting to hold him and welcome him into their hearts!
Arya & Aeries

Since coming into the lounge on Sunday, they are still getting adjusted, all from the safe confines of their hidey hole under the cabinet in the reception area. They love to be held and snuggle up tight but ask that they retreat to their space after to take a break and get their bearings. About one-year-old, Arya and Aeries are sure to delight big cat lovers. Do you want to put your cat whispering skills to use? Visit these two and watch them charm you with their purrs!

Adoption Process
First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.
All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.
Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.
- Ask for an application - fill it out in its entirety and please donât forget to write in the top which cat you are applying for!
- We will take a photo of the application and text it to that catâs rescue representative.
- The rescue may or may not reach out to you immediately for a phone interview. Some of our rescues respond within the day and some take a little longer. Please be patient.
- We DO NOT have any control over the adoption approval process. All of our rescues operate independently of our business and as such we are completely removed from the adoption process. We will notify you if you have been approved when we are notified ourselves!
- Once we get an all paws up approval, we will be reaching out to you to setup a mutually beneficial day and time to finalize your new furry BFFâs adoption. If you get the ok over the weekend, itâs at our discretion when the cat can go home - this depends on current numbers of cats in the lounge at the moment, as well as events and other things taking place at that time. NOTE: We require our rescue partners to have a replacement cat ready  to come into the lounge once we have an approved adoption to keep cat staffing levels up, so it may be a few days before the process is complete. Please also take note that we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays đ
- When you arrive to bring your new kitty home, please expect to spend about 15 minutes or so with us finalizing your paperwork. BRING A CARRIER, proper payment (cash, Venmo, or check made out to the rescue) and be prepared to fill out an adoption contract. We will go over your catâs adoption folder that contains its medical records and other papers, discuss food and litter requirements and take a photo of your new family for our social media posting.
