Petals

Do the names “Bubba, Lila, George, Darla, Emma and June Bug” ring any bells? Petals, and these already adopted sweet babies who called our cafe their foster space, hail from the same 130+ cat colony where their owner passed away in the home. Although a bit on the quiet side at the moment, her foster reports that she is quite the talker! Petals craves human attention with her sweet and delicate meows. This 2 year old Calico girl’s favorite hobbies include zipping into rooms Indiana Jones-style milliseconds before the door closes and viewing her loyal human subjects from high atop the cat tree. Will you give this sweet Calico her space to blossom?

Sparrow

Sparrow is a handsome 11/2 year old white boy with spectacular splashes of of orange. He’s looking for a change in luck and a chance to show his forever human how sweet and loving a cat can be! He’s had a couple unfortunate circumstances in his young life: His first human was moving and couldn’t take him with them. so they reached out to our rescue partner for help. It is very obvious Sparrow has been well-cared for – he is a large mellow boy who loves attention and adjusts remarkably well in new situations. He lived with medium to large sized-dogs at this home and got along splendidly. Sparrow was soon after placed into a foster to adopt situation with a human who had a German Shephera that wouldn’t calm down (Sparrow was fine – doggo was simply too excited to live with a cat!). His current foster prior to joining us at Chico Cat Cafe reports him to be loving and cuddly. Will he call YoUR home his forever home?

Cam

Cam is one of our most petite house panthers! Although diminutive in size, this almost 2-year-old baby has a HUGE personality! Cam absolutely LOVES to give -and get- HUGS! Once he gets to know you, LOOK OUT! He will fly from the floor to your chest to be picked up ASAP. He’s so affectionate that he meows for attention! This boy is also very eager to play with toys, cat trees, and YOU! Cam is the all-around populat cat o nthe block according to his foster – once we warms up to you and your home, he will be BFF with your older kids, cats and cat-friendly dogs!😻🐈‍⬛

Sawyer

Sawyer is a sweet and slightly shy 10-month-old house panther. He and his brother Sully (who was adopted a few months back) were both rescued at 1 DAY old from a huge colony of cats at a local cemetery. Sawyer is loving, affectionate guy who is slow to warm but when he does he loves hugs and kisses, butt rubs and will nap on your lap forever. He can play as hard as he naps and when he wakes up LOOK OUT! he will amaze you with kitten energy. We have a few black kitties here in the lounge – he can easily be spotted with his sweet white spot on his neck and white lower belly sploosh! 😻🐈‍⬛

Eli

Eli is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now 7 months old, Eli has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is he up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and he loves to play and wrastle with his siblings. Do you need a bed warmer? This guy loves to burrow in and wait for his foster to come to bed and snuggle in. Eli is excellent with older dogs and small dogs too! Do you like to sunbathe and watch birds as much as Eli does? Come and meet him – he might just be your match.

Tessa

Tessa is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now 7 months old, Tessa has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is she up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and she loves to play and wrastle with her siblings. Although she can be a handful at times (her energy level is off the hook!!), this gal loves to burrow in and wait for her foster to come to bed and snuggle in (watch your feet!!). Tessa does very well with dogs, especially small dogs (think Chihuahuas). She is a sweetheart and one of the more energetic of the 5 kittens.

Sadie

Sadie is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now 7 months old, Sadie has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is she up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and she loves to play and wrastle with her siblings. Sadie is the attention hog of the bunch – she gets jealous if you spend too much time with any one sibling – it’s supposed to be all about her! Sadie does very well with cat-friendly dogs, especially small dogs (think Chihuahuas). She is a fun-loving cuddler who wants you and your bed all to herself!

Marigold

Sweet yet elusive Marigold wants to join in the fun but isn’t sure how to introduce herself to you yet! Marigold showed up in her foster’s backyard two months ago during a rain storm. Concerned about her having a warm place to dry off and finding food, the foster started to feed her in hopes that she would be friendly and stick around. She decided that she tolerated pets when she went into heat LOL So, here she is now spayed and ready to find a warm home and heart to curl up in forever. This shy spotted girl appears to be about 8-9 months of age and says she can’t wait to get to know you if you give her some time!

Oreo & Sprinkles

Oreo (Tuxedo) and Sprinkles (Tortoiseshell) were dumped in an almond orchard in Orland last December, where they spent 3-4 days in cold, rainy conditions prior to being rescued. Once sick and distrusting of humans, both siblings are still not huge cuddlers but they enjoy pets and treats and say sleeping in bed next to you is the best! They get extremely distressed when separated and have a beutiful connection so they must be adopted as a bonded pair! Now 5 months old, they are ready to be welcomed into their new home – they have not been introduced to children or dogs yet, so a quiet, loving home with lots of patience and space would be best for these sweet siblings.

Dakota

Sweet and petite 6-month-old Dakota was trapped at the feed lot/auction yard out in Orland. Our rescue partner noticed how gentle and tame she was and kept her instead of returning her back to that location after TNR efforts. Quiet and reclusive at the moment, Dakota has been seen making an entrance during busier times of the day briefly, only to scamper off to her little retreat under a cabinet in the boutique. She is always up for scritches and is quite fond of Churu treats. Will you be the person she opens her heart to?

Petey

Frisky and fun-loving Petey is all about playing and cuddling! This orange and white 7-month-old boy may be petite but he’s a force of nature – he is always running, wrastling, jumping, snuggling and love-biting! There is never a dull moment in the lounge with this one! Petey was found at a local church trying to survive with other area cats and kittens – our rescue partner kept him since we has so friendly (he was trapped but not returned). It’s no wonder! Spend any time with him and you’ll want to keep him for yourself, too!

Melody

Sweet & startlingly beautiful Melody was recently trapped at a dairy that had closed out in Capay. Although holing up under a cabinet at the moment, this 5-month-old darling Calico immediately greeted us upon arrival but took to hiding after she realized that she was not the only cat in our space. Her foster mama reports that once Melody warms up to you, she just absolutely loves to be held – she locks eyes with you and stares into your soul as you ply her face with kisses. She is also a huge fan of playtime and goes bonkers with her toys, too! She has not been introduced to children yet and while she has seen dogs, she has not officially “met” any yet, so a quiet home with calm teens (because what cool cat doesn’t like the teen scene??) may be right up her alley!

Gemma

Gorgeous Gemma is the lap surfer and couch companion of your dreams! This stunning 4-year-old Calico beauty and her tiny meow have been in foster care for 2 years since her human dad passed away. She has never forgotten her manners or the love of a human. Gemma says wants a home where she can be cherished forever, where she can be her friendly and affectionate self, enjoy endless butt scratches and give and get plenty of attention. She is not needy nor is she always seeking out pets – she just wants to follow her person and hang out in the least obtrusive way possible. Gemma is cat-tastic with other cats, older children (pre-teens+) and cat-friendly dogs that have lived with cats. Is this mellow girl the couch companion for you?

Adoption Process

First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.

All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.

Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.

When you fall in love with a kitty, one of our Au Purrs will connect you to one of our rescue partners. Adoption approvals are typically finalized on-site, which means you may take home your new family member the same day.

*Please note that we don’t complete adoptions after the last session hour. Pick-ups may be arranged for the following day.
