Our Cat Crew
Petals
Do the names “Bubba, Lila, George, Darla, Emma and June Bug” ring any bells? Petals, and these already adopted sweet babies who called our cafe their foster space, hail from the same 130+ cat colony where their owner passed away in the home. Although a bit on the quiet side at the moment, her foster reports that she is quite the talker! Petals craves human attention with her sweet and delicate meows. This 2 -1/2 year old Calico girl’s favorite hobbies include zipping into rooms Indiana Jones-style milliseconds before the door closes and viewing her loyal human subjects from high atop the cat tree. Will you give this sweet Calico her space to blossom?
Eli
Eli is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now a little over 1 year old, Eli has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is he up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and he loves to play and wrastle with his siblings. Do you need a bed warmer? This guy loves to burrow in and wait for his foster to come to bed and snuggle in. Eli is excellent with older dogs and small dogs too! Do you like to sunbathe and watch birds as much as Eli does? Come and meet him – he might just be your match.
Tessa
Tessa is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now a little over 1 year old, Tessa has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is she up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and she loves to play and wrastle with her siblings. Although she can be a handful at times (her energy level is off the hook!!), this gal loves to burrow in and wait for her foster to come to bed and snuggle in (watch your feet!!). Tessa does very well with dogs, especially small dogs (think Chihuahuas). She is a sweetheart and one of the more energetic of the 5 kittens.
Sadie
Sadie is 1 of 5 kittens born on Independence Day weekend last year! They were found in a backyard without their mama on a very hot California day, so our rescue partner stepped in to find a foster for the little sweethearts. Now a little over 1 year old, Sadie has only 1 goal all day – to give and get LOVE. Is she up for lap time? YEP. Cuddles? YEP. Playtime? YEP and she loves to play and wrastle with her siblings. Sadie is the attention hog of the bunch – she gets jealous if you spend too much time with any one sibling – itâs supposed to be all about her! Sadie does very well with cat-friendly dogs, especially small dogs (think Chihuahuas). She is a fun-loving cuddler who wants you and your bed all to herself!
Petey
Frisky and fun-loving Petey is all about playing and cuddling! This orange and white 10-month-old boy may be petite but heâs a force of nature – he is always running, wrastling, jumping, snuggling and love-biting! There is never a dull moment in the lounge with this one! Petey was found at a local church trying to survive with other area cats and kittens – our rescue partner kept him since we has so friendly (he was trapped but not returned). Itâs no wonder! Spend any time with him and youâll want to keep him for yourself, too!
Gemma
Gorgeous Gemma is the lap surfer and couch companion of your dreams! This stunning 4-year-old Calico beauty and her tiny meow have been in foster care for 2 years since her human dad passed away. She has never forgotten her manners or the love of a human. Gemma says wants a home where she can be cherished forever, where she can be her friendly and affectionate self, enjoy endless butt scratches and give and get plenty of attention. She is not needy nor is she always seeking out pets – she just wants to follow her person and hang out in the least obtrusive way possible. Gemma is cat-tastic with other cats, older children (pre-teens+) and cat-friendly dogs that have lived with cats. Is this mellow girl the couch companion for you?
*Fluffy*
Born to a feral mama in April 2023, Fluffyâs cat mama did a fantastic job of caring for her and her 3 siblings, living a relatively care-free outside life in Red Bluff for a little over a year. February 2024 finds Fluffy learning that the feral outside life is NOT ideal for catsâŠafter an illness living outside in the cold and wet winter, Fluffy started to show signs of having an URI. This URI has permanently affected Fluffyâs lungs â she snuffles and has moments of struggling to breathe. Not only that, her fosterâs vet reports that she is almost 100% blind and upon adoption will be referred to a veterinary ophthalmologist to fully assess her ocular changes. Fluffy will need to be strictly inside only and THE only cat in a household where she has one human to care for her and keep her in kisses and safely tucked inside. Since she is a special needs girl, Fluffy cannot join us at the cafĂ© â we do not want to risk her becoming stressed due to the amount of traffic we have here in the lounge and potentially subjecting her to germs that she may not be able to ward off. Fluffy is the first cat to be part of our Purrivate Pawtners Program where certain cats who canât come to our cafĂ© for a specific reason can be allowed to stay in their foster homes offsite until adopted. We will still showcase her and cats like her on our website and Facebook page but they wonât be physically present here. *If you are interested in a meet and greet with Miss Fluffy, please let us know so that we may arrange a private appointment with her foster, as she is located in our offsite foster space*

Chickpea

This little lady is from a large cat colony in Willows, where she learned the ropes of feline friendship. Chickpea is a bundle of energy and charm, always ready to chase after a toy or pounce on a fellow kitty for some fun. But donât let her playful side fool youâwhen the games are over, sheâs all about the snuggles! Chickpea has the perfect balance of curiosity and affection, making her the purrrfect companion for anyone looking for a furry friend whoâs equal parts playmate and cuddle buddy. Whether sheâs zooming around with her fellow cats or curling up in your lap, Chickpea is sure to fill your life with love and fun times!
John & Doe
John and his sister Doe are 2 of 4 kitties rescued from Pape Machinery in Willows along with their mama. They must have been dumped because they were all very friendly! FOUR PAWS UP to this business! An employee reached out to our rescue partner to see if they could help this young little cat family: our rescue needed a few days to make room for them, so this employee took it upon himself to keep them safe inside the business. You can tell who are real cat lovers, folks! John and Doe were originally to be named âJohn and Deereâ until (surprise!) Deere was discovered to be a girl, so she became âDoeâ to her brother, John. They are identical except for Johnâs white feet (hence, only 1 photo). These two 3.5 month old babies love to run full tilt, tussle for hours and crash out cold together – they are quickly learning how to be good, well-behaved kittens. Will you further their learning by showing them humans are kind, patient and loving?
Zig Zag
Sometimes life starts with hisses until you accept kisses. Just ask Zig Zag! Born into a feral cat colony in Willows, this spunky female was 1 of 5 siblings that made their way to our rescue partner at the beginning of summer. This striped girl was the least friendly and would strike out and hiss at any anybody that dared look at her. After many months, though, it was evident that she was all talk and no action – she says being a street cat was a scary experience and her hiss was her secret weapon to survival. Our rescue worked lovingly and diligently with her to show her that humans are here to help, not hurt. She says it can be very difficult to re-learn behavior – she was still skittish and distrusting for weeks until a light switch went on – this isnât all that bad! Once she dropped that wall and let her foster show her love and affection, the purrs began. 5 month-old Zig Zag still proceeds cautiously at first when in new situations but her eyes say âI want to be loved!â. Come complete this little ladyâs circle and be her human that bonds with her and teaches her that she can be loved and safe.
Cypress
Cypress is a gorgeous almost 5-month-old tortie who is long and gangly like a Cypress tree. One of our rescue partnerâs foster mothers found her, her mama and her 4 siblings roughing it in her garage this summer. The happy campers but have felt safe and decided to call her garage home. The foster trapped the kittens and brought them inside to settle down and begin the taming process. Although slowly adjusting to life at the cafe (aka hiding out in a safe cozy spot) at the moment, her foster reports that this stunner is The Life of the Party! She is smack dab in the middle of any chaos (and probably and proudly stirs everyone up!). She has a constant purr and has no volume down button LOL Cypress is not afraid of anything, not even the vacuum – she chases the broom and makes any mess bigger. She says she is also up for snuggles and head rubs WHEN sheâs not helping with the housework or stirring up her siblings!
Adoption Process
First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.
All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.
Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.
- Ask for an application - fill it out in its entirety and please donât forget to write in the top which cat you are applying for!
- We will take a photo of the application and text it to that catâs rescue representative.
- The rescue may or may not reach out to you immediately for a phone interview. Some of our rescues respond within the day and some take a little longer. Please be patient.
- We DO NOT have any control over the adoption approval process. All of our rescues operate independently of our business and as such we are completely removed from the adoption process. We will notify you if you have been approved when we are notified ourselves!
- Once we get an all paws up approval, we will be reaching out to you to setup a mutually beneficial day and time to finalize your new furry BFFâs adoption. If you get the ok over the weekend, itâs at our discretion when the cat can go home - this depends on current numbers of cats in the lounge at the moment, as well as events and other things taking place at that time. NOTE: We require our rescue partners to have a replacement cat ready  to come into the lounge once we have an approved adoption to keep cat staffing levels up, so it may be a few days before the process is complete. Please also take note that we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays đ
- When you arrive to bring your new kitty home, please expect to spend about 15 minutes or so with us finalizing your paperwork. BRING A CARRIER, proper payment (cash, Venmo, or check made out to the rescue) and be prepared to fill out an adoption contract. We will go over your catâs adoption folder that contains its medical records and other papers, discuss food and litter requirements and take a photo of your new family for our social media posting.
- Go home and celebrate with kisses and belly rubs!! đ»đââŹ
