Chico Cat Café is temporarily closed as we prepare to move into a bigger, brighter, more intentional space.
After three unforgettable years on the Esplanade—hundreds of adoptions, thousands of cuddles, countless memories—our little café has simply grown beyond its walls. And with that growth comes a moment of beautiful transformation.
We are stepping into a new home that will give us room to breathe, room to dream, and room to expand into the community-centered work we were always meant for.
Soon, we’ll be able to offer classes, workshops, volunteer programs, themed events, enrichment opportunities, and deeper ways to connect humans and cats—all crafted with the same heart that built the café from day one.
For now, our doors are closed… but our mission is very much alive.
We’re projecting a New Year reopening, and we can’t wait to welcome you back into a space built with intention, warmth, and possibility.
Why Reservations Are Unavailable
Because we are no longer in our beloved Esplanade location, our reservation calendar has been paused until the new café is ready.
We know it can feel confusing when the “Book Now” button isn’t there—so thank you for finding your way here, for caring enough to check in, and for holding space for us as we grow.
Your patience is the bridge between who we were and who we’re becoming.

Together with Neighborhood Cat Advocates, we’re still matching cats with their forever families through pop-up events across the community. These events help us keep our momentum strong until the new café opens its doors. We will post here and on our FB page any notifications regarding scheduled pop-ups.
