Gemma is a 1. 5 year old buff tabby girl with silky-soft fur and a heart that has already weathered more than most cats her age. She was found wandering the business district on Otterson Drive near the Comanche Greenway entrance, hungry, petite, and trying her best to survive on whatever she could findâbecause life on the streets is tough, and she had been doing it alone. But the moment her foster reached out to her, Gemma melted with relief, happily hopping into the car as if she knew she was finally safe. She was spayed the very same day and treated for the stomach issues that came from scrounging for food, and through it all, she remained calm, gentle, grateful, and full of quiet sweetness. Named after a truck with âGEMâ painted across the sideâthe moment her rescuer knew she was a hidden treasureâGemma has proven herself every bit as precious as her name. Petite, affectionate, soulful and already blossoming into a loving companion, she is ready to leave her hard beginnings behind and step into the soft, steady life she has always deserved.

Poof and her sister Floof were found in the wild and brought in by a caring community member. She is a 4-month-old short-haired sweetheart who began life as a tiny, âhissy-spittyâ wild baby, but with patience and love she has blossomed into a wonderfully silly, curious little companion who wants so badly to trust. Her miniature tail pops straight up and curls over her back when sheâs happyâespecially during those gentle head scratches that turn her into a purring noodle. Sheâs brave in quiet, tender ways: sleeping on her humanâs bed, curling up next to you on the couch, and watching how confidently Floof soaks up affection so she can learn at her own pace. Poof often opens her mouth to meow and produces nothing but a silent âwhisper,â and when she does find her voice, she squeaks like the tiniest baby bird. Sheâs playful, observant, endlessly curious, and very food-motivatedâsometimes growling a little at mealtime, though sheâs easily redirected once she feels secure. With a calm home, gentle humans, and her beloved sister Floof by her side, Poof will continue blossoming into the sweet, quirky little cat sheâs meant to be. Poof has not been triple tested yet. She must be adopted as a bonded pair with her sister, Floof.

Sunny has spent his whole life roaming the streets like a whiskered wanderer, tipping his invisible fedora at passersby and minding his own business like a true old-school gentleman. Now that heâs getting his first taste of indoor living, heâs discovering the magic of soft blankets, ceiling fans, and something called a âlitter box,â which he is learning to use with impressive dignity. With his big orange coat, snowy white bib, and four perfect white gloves, he looks like heâs always dressed for a night at a jazz club. He carries himself with calm confidenceâeasygoing, observant, polite, and just a little amused by all the cozy luxuries he never knew existed. Sunny has the heart of a street scholar and the charm of a classic movie star, and heâs quickly realizing that indoor life might be his new calling. Adoption Process
First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.
All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.
Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.
- Ask for an application - fill it out in its entirety and please donât forget to write in the top which cat you are applying for!
- We will take a photo of the application and text it to that catâs rescue representative.
- The rescue may or may not reach out to you immediately for a phone interview. Some of our rescues respond within the day and some take a little longer. Please be patient.
- We DO NOT have any control over the adoption approval process. All of our rescues operate independently of our business and as such we are completely removed from the adoption process. We will notify you if you have been approved when we are notified ourselves!
- Once we get an all paws up approval, we will be reaching out to you to setup a mutually beneficial day and time to finalize your new furry BFFâs adoption. If you get the ok over the weekend, itâs at our discretion when the cat can go home - this depends on current numbers of cats in the lounge at the moment, as well as events and other things taking place at that time. NOTE: We require our rescue partners to have a replacement cat ready  to come into the lounge once we have an approved adoption to keep cat staffing levels up, so it may be a few days before the process is complete. Please also take note that we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays đ
- When you arrive to bring your new kitty home, please expect to spend about 15 minutes or so with us finalizing your paperwork. BRING A CARRIER, proper payment (cash, Venmo, or check made out to the rescue) and be prepared to fill out an adoption contract. We will go over your catâs adoption folder that contains its medical records and other papers, discuss food and litter requirements and take a photo of your new family for our social media posting.
