Cheddar (in foster)

Cheddar is an 8-month-old orange tabby with a gentle spirit and a heart that melts the moment he feels safe. He and his four siblings were found with their mama in a field in Chico, but once settled into his foster home, Cheddar discovered that humans are soft, kind, and the source of all the best things in life—quiet laps, warm hands, and steady love. Though he began life timid, Cheddar has blossomed into a tender, affectionate companion who seeks you out during the calm moments of the day. He loves curling up beside you like he’s been waiting all afternoon for that quiet connection. His presence is soothing, steady, and full of quiet devotion. Cheddar is deeply bonded to his brother Mango, and together they bring a peaceful, comforting energy into any room. They were raised with other cats and even a large dog, but Cheddar truly thrives in a gentle, relaxed home where he can explore at his own pace and let his sweet personality shine. If you’re looking for a soulful boy who radiates warmth and loyalty, Cheddar is ready to love you with his whole heart. He and Mango must be adopted as a bonded pair—they are happiest and most confident when they’re together.

~~Though adoption events are taking a holiday break, Cheddar is currently soaking up the magic of twinkly lights and quiet cuddles with his brother. He says he is available for meet-and-greets with Mango by request!~~

Mango (in foster)

Mango is an 8-month-old orange tabby with a tender, thoughtful soul and a heart that blooms the moment he feels safe. He and his four siblings were found as babies with their mama in a field in Chico, but once in his foster home, Mango began to discover that the world can be gentle, predictable, and full of kindness. Naturally observant, Mango likes to watch quietly before joining in—he’s the type of cat who takes in every detail, making sure the space feels soft and secure. And once it does, he melts into the sweetest, most trusting companion. His confidence grows through the steady presence of his brother Cheddar, his very best friend and constant source of courage. Where one goes, the other follows; their bond is deep, effortless, and heartwarming to witness. Mango plays softly, explores gently, and brings a warm sense of peace to any room he enters. Raised with other cats and even a large dog, he thrives best in a calm home where he and Cheddar can feel settled and safe as they continue blossoming together. If you’re searching for a loving, soulful boy who comes with his built-in best friend, Mango is ready to fill your home with comfort, companionship, and double the orange-tabby magic. He and Cheddar must be adopted as a bonded pair—they are happiest, bravest, and most complete when they’re together.

~~While our adoption events rest for the holidays, Mango is busy being adorable hiding under the tree and is still available to meet his future family alongside his brother Cheddar!~~

Gemma (in foster)

Gemma is a 1. 5 year old buff tabby girl with silky-soft fur and a heart that has already weathered more than most cats her age. She was found wandering the business district on Otterson Drive near the Comanche Greenway entrance, hungry, petite, and trying her best to survive on whatever she could find—because life on the streets is tough, and she had been doing it alone. But the moment her foster reached out to her, Gemma melted with relief, happily hopping into the car as if she knew she was finally safe. She was spayed the very same day and treated for the stomach issues that came from scrounging for food, and through it all, she remained calm, gentle, grateful, and full of quiet sweetness. Named after a truck with “GEM” painted across the side—the moment her rescuer knew she was a hidden treasure—Gemma has proven herself every bit as precious as her name. Petite, affectionate, soulful and already blossoming into a loving companion, she is ready to leave her hard beginnings behind and step into the soft, steady life she has always deserved.

~~Our adoption events are taking a short winter break, but Gemma is still very much available—she currently enjoying cozy blankets and holiday magic. Meet-and-greets available upon request!~~

Poof (in foster)

Poof and her sister Floof were found in the wild and brought in by a caring community member. She is a 4-month-old short-haired sweetheart who began life as a tiny, “hissy-spitty” wild baby, but with patience and love she has blossomed into a wonderfully silly, curious little companion who wants so badly to trust. Her miniature tail pops straight up and curls over her back when she’s happy—especially during those gentle head scratches that turn her into a purring noodle. She’s brave in quiet, tender ways: sleeping on her human’s bed, curling up next to you on the couch, and watching how confidently Floof soaks up affection so she can learn at her own pace. Poof often opens her mouth to meow and produces nothing but a silent “whisper,” and when she does find her voice, she squeaks like the tiniest baby bird. She’s playful, observant, endlessly curious, and very food-motivated—sometimes growling a little at mealtime, though she’s easily redirected once she feels secure. With a calm home, gentle humans, and her beloved sister Floof by her side, Poof will continue blossoming into the sweet, quirky little cat she’s meant to be. Poof has not been triple tested yet. She must be adopted as a bonded pair with her sister, Floof.

~~During the holiday pause in adoption events, Poof and sister Floof can be found sharing warm blankets and watching the tree from a safe distance. They must be adopted together, and meet-and-greets are available upon request!~~

Floof (in foster)

Floof and her sister Poof were found in the wild and brought in by a caring community member. She is a 4-month-old long-haired beauty who began life as a wary, “hissy-spitty” wild kitten, but she quickly discovered that humans bring warmth, safety, and all the cuddles a tiny heart could want. She blossomed almost overnight into a gentle lap cat who loves curling up on her person, nuzzling other cats, and following her humans from room to room like a soft, whisper-quiet shadow. Her presence is soothing and sweet, bringing a calm balance to Poof’s silly, spunky energy, and the two of them find comfort in each other’s courage. Floof sometimes opens her mouth to meow and produces nothing but a silent “whisper,” though she lets out the faintest, daintiest squeaks when she really wants attention. She thrives on gentle pets, soft voices, slow movements, and people who appreciate a tender, affectionate companion. With her sister Poof by her side, Floof will bring sweetness, serenity, and heart-melting cuddles to the home lucky enough to adopt them both. Floof has not been triple-tested yet and must be adopted as a bonded pair with her sister, Poof.

~~While adoption events are paused for the holidays, Floof and her silly sister are quietly enjoying cozy winter naps and twinkly lights together. They are still available for adoption and would love to meet their future family side by side!~~

Mochi (in foster)

Mochi is an almost 11-month-old gray-and-white tabby beauty whose journey began as a feral kitten, trapped alongside her sisters Evie and Willow at the High ’n Dry RV Park in Los Molinos when she was just 4 months old. Playful, energetic, and boldly adventurous, Mochi moves through life with long, lanky elegance—equal parts gentle curiosity and mischievous sparkle. She melts under soft pets and affectionate attention, sometimes offering delicate “love nips” on your fingers, a sweet and harmless reminder that she’s still figuring out how to express her big feelings. Willow (in foster)

Willow is an almost 11-month-old gray-and-white tabby with long, elegant limbs and a softness that seems to radiate from her very soul. Trapped as a feral kitten at just 4 months old alongside her sisters Mochi and Evie at the High ’n Dry RV Park in Los Molinos, she has blossomed slowly and tenderly into a sweet, gentle girl who meets the world with quiet curiosity. She is playful and affectionate in her own soft way, rolling into gentle pets and leaning into attention once she feels safe, offering her trust like a delicate gift. Whether adopted as a tender, soulful singleton or alongside Mochi or Evie, Willow is ready to bring grace, sweetness, and a quiet kind of magic to her forever family.

~~Adoption events are on a holiday break, but Willow and her sisters Evie and Mochi are currently helping Santa keep an eye on the ornaments and are still available for adoption—meet-and-greets can be scheduled individually or as a trio!~~

Sunny (in foster)

Sunny has spent his whole life roaming the streets like a whiskered wanderer, tipping his invisible fedora at passersby and minding his own business like a true old-school gentleman. Now that he’s getting his first taste of indoor living, he’s discovering the magic of soft blankets, ceiling fans, and something called a “litter box,” which he is learning to use with impressive dignity. With his big orange coat, snowy white bib, and four perfect white gloves, he looks like he’s always dressed for a night at a jazz club. He carries himself with calm confidence—easygoing, observant, polite, and just a little amused by all the cozy luxuries he never knew existed. Sunny has the heart of a street scholar and the charm of a classic movie star, and he’s quickly realizing that indoor life might be his new calling. Whoever adopts this handsome gentleman will be getting a loyal companion with good manners, old-soul energy, and enough charisma to light up a whole room
or at least a whole couch.

~~Adoption events may be on a holiday pause, but Sunny is still very much available (he has been snuggling into warm blankets and listening to festive household sounds from a cozy perch) He would love to meet you!~~

He is neutered but not yet triple-tested, but this will be arranged prior to adoption. Adoption Process

First you will make a reservation to meet our adoptable kitties. Adoption fees vary, according to the age of the kitten or cat.

All kitties over 4 months also have had their rabies vaccinations. All kittens have been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, received their flea and de-wormer treatments, and basic booster shots.

Your new kitten adoption also includes a beautiful gift basket, a bag of our premium branded cat litter and a starter bag of kitten food. When you visit, let our staff know you are actively looking to adopt.

When you fall in love with one of our sweet rescues, here is our Adoption Process:
  1. Ask for an application - fill it out in its entirety and please don’t forget to write in the top which cat you are applying for!
  2. We will take a photo of the application and text it to that cat’s rescue representative.
  3. The rescue may or may not reach out to you immediately for a phone interview. Some of our rescues respond within the day and some take a little longer. Please be patient.
  4. We DO NOT have any control over the adoption approval process. All of our rescues operate independently of our business and as such we are completely removed from the adoption process. We will notify you if you have been approved when we are notified ourselves!
  5. Once we get an all paws up approval, we will be reaching out to you to setup a mutually beneficial day and time to finalize your new furry BFF’s adoption. If you get the ok over the weekend, it’s at our discretion when the cat can go home - this depends on current numbers of cats in the lounge at the moment, as well as events and other things taking place at that time. NOTE: We require our rescue partners to have a replacement cat ready  to come into the lounge once we have an approved adoption to keep cat staffing levels up, so it may be a few days before the process is complete. Please also take note that we are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays 😊
  6. When you arrive to bring your new kitty home, please expect to spend about 15 minutes or so with us finalizing your paperwork. BRING A CARRIER, proper payment (cash, Venmo, or check made out to the rescue) and be prepared to fill out an adoption contract. We will go over your cat’s adoption folder that contains its medical records and other papers, discuss food and litter requirements and take a photo of your new family for our social media posting.
  7. Go home and celebrate with kisses and belly rubs!! đŸ˜»đŸˆâ€âŹ›
