Dear Friends,

When we opened the cat café three years ago, we had one dream: to create a cozy space where people and cats could connect, heal, and find each other while supporting our local non-profit rescues. Thanks to your support, we’ve made that dream a reality. Together, we’ve celebrated 315 adoptions to date, countless purrs, and a community that truly believes in second chances for needy cats.

We are so excited to share that we are transitioning into a fully nonprofit cat café and community resource center in a larger, more accessible location in the coming months. This next chapter will allow us to serve our cats, our rescues, and our community in a bigger way — expanding our mission to bring even more love, connection, and resources to the North State’s wonderful cat lovers and rescuers.

Most importantly, it means our mission will continue to thrive — not just as a café, but as a community-powered resource dedicated to cats and the people who love them.

We want to thank every single one of you who has visited, adopted, supported, or simply shared a kind word. You’ve helped build this dream, and now we invite you to join us in building its future.

We’re going to miss our little house, but the spirit of the Chico Cat Café was never just brick and wood. It lives in every life you’ve helped save, every adoption photo, every laugh shared over a sleeping kitten, every friendship formed in our cozy corners. That spirit is coming with us — location to be announced soon!

While we prepare for our new home, we’re also exploring the possibility of hosting pop-up adoption events around Chico. This way, we can continue to bring cats and people together, even in this in-between chapter.

And — we have a surprise or two up our whiskers. Be sure to follow our website and Facebook page in the coming months so you don’t miss what’s next.

Over the next weeks, we’ll be honoring this chapter — telling the stories, celebrating the cats, and letting this place whisper its goodbyes. And then we’ll step into the unknown, trusting that the heart we’ve built together will lead us to the next safe harbor.

Thank you, Chico. For believing in us. For loving these cats. For walking this bridge with us. The best parts of this journey are still ahead.

✨ Our last day of bookings and walk-in visits will be Sunday, September 21st, closing at 6pm ✨If we have pending adoptions beyond that date, we will work closely with our rescue partners to ensure those happy endings still happen.
