Zig Zag
Sometimes life starts with hisses until you accept kisses. Just ask Zig Zag! Born into a feral cat colony in Willows, this spunky female was 1 of 5 siblings that made their way to our rescue partner at the beginning of summer. This striped girl was the least friendly and would strike out and hiss at any anybody that dared look at her. After many months, though, it was evident that she was all talk and no action – she says being a street cat was a scary experience and her hiss was her secret weapon to survival. Our rescue worked lovingly and diligently with her to show her that humans are here to help, not hurt. She says it can be very difficult to re-learn behavior – she was still skittish and distrusting for weeks until a light switch went on – this isn’t all that bad! Once she dropped that wall and let her foster show her love and affection, the purrs began. 5 month-old Zig Zag still proceeds cautiously at first when in new situations but her eyes say “I want to be loved!”. Come complete this little lady’s circle and be her human that bonds with her and teaches her that she can be loved and safe.
